Solidarity Project

Y.O.D.A. – the project that changes young people’s lives

Imagine a space where young people discover their purpose, learn new skills, and inspire each other. This is Y.O.D.A. (Young People Do Cool Things) – a project that helps youth unlock their potential and contribute to their community.

What is this project about?

Y.O.D.A. is an initiative supported by the European Solidarity Corps, aimed at helping young people find their life mission. Participants met with inspiring speakers, learned teamwork, developed communication skills, and explored the art of hospitality.

How did it all happen?

The project consisted of several stages:

  • Public events featuring motivational speakers who shared their success stories.
  • Workshops and training sessions, helping participants develop leadership, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Using social media to promote the project and attract new participants.
  • Creating a friendly and supportive environment where everyone could express themselves and find support.

What inspired the participants?

A key aspect of Y.O.D.A. was the focus on traditions and values. Participants learned to respect older generations, care for younger ones, and apply these principles in their daily lives.

Were there challenges? Of course!

The project faced challenges—some tea

m members had to leave, not all speakers could attend, and one major event had to be canceled due to a guest speaker’s illness. However, the team found new solutions and continued working by focusing more on digital platforms and social media.

What did participants learn?

  • The project helped young people:
  • Gain confidence and learn to work in a team.
  • Discover opportunities offered by international programs such as Erasmus+.
  • Improve their English communication skills.
  • Feel part of a larger community that values support and cooperation.

What’s next?

Even though the project has ended, its ideas live on. Participants actively run social media pages, share their achievements, and continue to inspire others to join.

Y.O.D.A. – it’s not just a project, it’s a way of life that helps young people do cool things and believe in themselves!
