Imagine a space where young people discover their purpose, learn new skills, and inspire each other. This is Y.O.D.A. (Young People Do Cool Things) – a project that helps youth unlock their potential and contribute to their community.
Y.O.D.A. is an initiative supported by the European Solidarity Corps, aimed at helping young people find their life mission. Participants met with inspiring speakers, learned teamwork, developed communication skills, and explored the art of hospitality.
The project consisted of several stages:
A key aspect of Y.O.D.A. was the focus on traditions and values. Participants learned to respect older generations, care for younger ones, and apply these principles in their daily lives.
The project faced challenges—some tea
m members had to leave, not all speakers could attend, and one major event had to be canceled due to a guest speaker’s illness. However, the team found new solutions and continued working by focusing more on digital platforms and social media.
Even though the project has ended, its ideas live on. Participants actively run social media pages, share their achievements, and continue to inspire others to join.
